2012 Juried Exhibition – OR
Deadline: July 18, 2012. Newspace Center for Photography, located in Portland, Oregon, invites you to enter its 8th annual juried photography exhibition, July 6-29, 2012. Juror: Laura Moya, Executive Director, Photolucida. The competition is open to all photographic themes and processes, but the work should have been created in the last five years. 35 images will be selected for the exhibition and one photographer will be selected for a solo show in 2013 and awarded $500. The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society announces a call to artists for an international juried art exhibition, November 4, 2012 – February 3, 2013 at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, PA. Collages art exhibition – CA
Deadline: July 1, 2012. Linus Galleries seeks entries for an online exhibition. Public art call for City of Ames New Intermodal Facility – IA

The City of Ames invites sculpture submissions for a work to be exhibited in conjunction with the opening of the new Ames Intermodal Transportation Facility this summer of 2012. “Off the Wall” 3D Exhibit – GA

Beyond the Border: The Wall, The People and the Land – AZ
Deadline: June 30, 2012. Beyond the Border addresses the human and environmental impact of issues that surround the US / Mexico border, the border wall and border policies. Artists are encouraged to submit art that explores this impact and how changing policy is affecting the environment and/or people. The Ripple Effect: Currents of Socially Engaged Art – DC
Deadline: June 25, 2012. Washington Project for the Arts and Art Museum of the Americas (with curator Raquel de Anda) seek submissions from artists based in the DC region (DC, MD, VA) for The Ripple Effect, a multidisciplinary exhibition that will offer a sampling of social practice and collaborative works produced within the United States and Latin America. The exhibition positions artists as architects of change building creative entry points into conversations on broad social issues while providing both poetic and concrete solutions. Through various forms, The Ripple Effect will critique, explore, and create a space for conversations on new possibilities of place and society. Submissions may be for existing work or proposals for new projects to take place before or during the exhibition. Selected artists will receive a $400 honorarium. Americana: The Best and Worst of America – IN

Studio 659 is looking for submissions for our August show, “The Best and Worst of Americana.” We welcome submissions of all types of art and all types of subject matter related to anything positive or negative about America in any time period. This could involve patriotism, historical, modern, architecture, political, economy, music, and so on.
