Prince George’s County Artists
Deadline: December 7, 2012. The M-NCPPC, Department of Parks of Recreation, Prince George’s County, Arts and Cultural Heritage Division, with support from the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, is pleased to announce On the Verge: Extension, Transition, Conversation,this year’s exhibition of Prince George’s County artists in the Lowe House Office building in Annapolis, during the Maryland General Assembly’s Legislative Session for 2013. This call for entries is open to all artists 18 years old or older who live, work, attend school or have studio’s in Prince George’s County, MD. Photography Exhibition
Deadline: December 14, 2012. Capitol Hill Arts Workshop’s 7th Annual Contemporary Photography Exhibition is February 2 through March 1, 2013. They are looking for any and all types of contemporary photography: traditional, alternative, black and white, color, photojournalism, fine art, time-based, performance, installation … if you think it involves photography, please submit! BlackRock Center for the Arts
Deadline: December 21, 2012. BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD is accepting entries for exhibits in 2014. Entry is open to all artists 18 years and over residing in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. The entry fee is $35. For the entry form and more details, click here.
Art on Paper
Deadline: January 23, 2013. The Maryland Federation of Art invites all artists residing in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to enter its 36th annual Art on Paper competition. Any original work created on or of paper and following exhibition guidelines will be considered. Works selected will be on exhibit in the MFA Circle Gallery, 18 State Circle, Annapolis, Maryland from March 29 to April 28, 2013. For the entry form and more details, click here.
Quiet Waters Park
The Galleries at Quiet Waters Park are seeking fine art exhibitions for the calendar year of 2014. Most exhibits are on view for a six-week period. The exhibition rental fee is $200 for the two-level Willow Gallery, $100 for the Garden Gallery, and $300 for both Galleries. An average of 50 – 75 pieces, depending upon size, may be displayed in the Willow Gallery and an average of 20 – 35 pieces, depending upon size, can be displayed in the Garden Gallery. Three folding bins are available for display of a limited number of matted, unframed artwork.
All work must adhere to Quiet Waters Park Exhibition Standards. Art organizations are required to have an outside juror select the members work for exhibition in the Galleries at Quiet Waters. The Friends of Quiet Waters Park will retain twenty-five percent (25%) of the selling price of artwork sold during the show.
