Outdoor sculpture
Deadline: March 1, 2013. The 2013 Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head Island, DISCOVER, seeks proposals for sculpture engaged in a contemporary conversation about art within a natural environment. Up to twenty large-scale outdoor sculptures will be selected by an esteemed jury based upon artistic excellence, innovation, interactivity, originality, and the work’s ability to enhance the natural and cultural environment as well as reflect the values and diversity of Hilton Head Island. Walk on the Wild Side
Deadline: March 22, 2013. Walk on the Wild Side is a fundraising joint project of the Northern Virginia Art Center and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington For this juried show, artists are encouraged to explore the creative influence of the furred, feathered and finned creatures of our world. Arlington County artists
Deadline: April 28, 2013. Artisphere’s Mezz Gallery Call for Entry 2014-15: Proposals will be accepted from individual artists, arts groups, organizations, and curators who live, work, study or maintain a studio in Arlington County.For more information and to apply, click here.

National Building Design Show
Deadline: April 30, 2013. The National Building Museum Home and Design Show first juried competition is now accepting online applications from artists, galleries and manufacturers of unique, innovative, trend setting art objects for residential, commercial and public spaces. Accepted categories: basketry, ceramics, decorative fibers, fine art, furniture, glass, metal, mixed media, paper, photography, stone, wood and other media appropriate for the above mentioned.
