Painting Awards
Deadline: February 22, 2013 (Friday). The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District is currently accepting applications for the seventh annual Bethesda Painting Awards. Artists must be 18 years of age or older and residents of Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C. All original 2-D paintings including oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, encaustic and mixed media will be accepted. For more information and to apply, click here.

Mid-Atlantic Exhibition
Deadline: February 23, 2013 (Saturday), 4:00 pm. d’ART Center in Norfolk, Virginia will hold its 23rd Mid-Atlantic Art Exhibition this spring. Entry is open to artists aged 18 or older working in any medium. For more information and to enter, click here.

The Art of Money: Financial Planning and Tax Preparation
February 28, 2013. Join Washington Project for the Arts and The Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, at WPA’s new home in the Capitol Skyline Hotel, for a workshop on taxes and financial planning specifically geared towards artists and their unique challenges. There is a $5 fee for non-members; seating is limited. For more information, click here.

Annual Juried Exhibit
Deadline: April 5, 2013. The Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center, located in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland, announces the 2013 Annual Juried Exhibit. All media are eligible. For more information, you can download the PDF prospectus here.
