Solo exhibits at Arlington Arts Center
Deadline: March 15, 2013. Each year AAC selects artists from across the mid-Atlantic region for solo exhibitions in AAC’s seven separate gallery spaces—or outside on the grounds. Artists are encouraged to submit proposals for works in progress, new bodies of work, as well as site-specific installations in any and all media. For more information and to apply, click here.
How to Successfully Mat & Frame Your Artwork

Art in City Hall
Deadline: March 29, 2013, 6:00 pm. The latest Art in City Hall exhibit opens this April. (To read about the Art in City Hall partnership, click here.) Torpedo Factory Annual Jury
Receiving: March 18, 2013. The annual jury for Torpedo Factory Artist Members is coming up. Artists must go through the annual jury process and orientation session to become a member of the Torpedo Factory Artists’ Association (TFAA). All artists working in fine arts and fine crafts are eligible. For more information, click here.
Art of the Found Object
Deadline: March 20, 2013. Artists residing in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada are invited to enter “Eye of the Beholder: The Art of the Found Object” at Maryland Federation of Art’s Circle Gallery. Any 2D or 3D works incorporating one or more found objects and following the MFA’s exhibition guidelines will be considered. For more information and to enter, click here.
Walk on the Wild Side
Deadline: March 22, 2013. Walk on the Wild Side is a fundraising joint project of the Northern Virginia Art Center and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington For this juried show, artists are encouraged to explore the creative influence of the furred, feathered and finned creatures of our world. This show is open to 2-D and 3-D artists in all media. For more information and to apply, click here.
Philadelphia Craft Show
Deadline: April 1, 2013. (Late deadline April 12.) The 37th Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, a juried exhibition and retail sale, will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from November 7 to 10, 2013, with a preview party on November 6. The jury will accept 195 craft artists. For more information and to apply, click here.
Washington Craft Show
Deadline: April 1, 2013. (Late deadline April 15.) The 26th annual Washington Craft Show, November 1, 2, & 3, 2013, sponsored by Crafts America, will be held at the Washington Convention Center in the heart of Washington, D.C. It is a multi-media crafts exhibition and sale focusing on contemporary American craft. This prestigious show features 195 artists who are jury selected from all over the United States.
