Deadline: April 18, 2013 (Thursday). Maryland Federation of Art invites all artists residing in Maryland and/or all MFA members to enter its fine art juried show. All 2-D and 3-D formats following exhibition guidelines will be considered by the juror. For more information and to enter, click here.

Painting exhibit

Boardwalk Arts Festival
Deadline: May 1, 2013. The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce announces that applications for the 35th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival are now open. Join over 100 skilled artisans against the beautiful backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and the Bethany Beach, Delaware boardwalk. This one-day show (Saturday, September 7) attracts more than 7,500 visitors! Featured works include: clay, drawing, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture and more! Digital art exhibit
Deadline: April 22, 2013. Artists using digital processes are invited to enter the International Juried Competition at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Arts. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. The competition is international, open to all geographical locations. Selected artists receive prints of their work to be included in a solo show (for the winner) or upcoming group shows (10 second-place winners). For more information and to enter, click here.

MiniSolos @ Touchstone
Deadline: May 28, 2013. Touchstone Gallery is planning a return engagement of the MiniSolos@Touchstone guest artist exhibit during August. It is a once-a-year opportunity for area artists to have a “mini – solo” show in our contemporary gallery. 38 spaces are available — 36 wall spaces and 2 sculpture floor spaces, and there will be a screening component — a look-see by a committee of Touchstone artists.
