Free lectures: Photoshop and Exhibition Prints
May 23, 2013. Photographer John Burgess will give two free lectures at The Art League on Photoshop for Artists and Exhibition Prints with Inkjet Printers. Please RSVP if you’ll be attending. Click here for full details.

Aerosol murals
Deadline: May 10, 2013. The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) in collaboration with the DC Department of Public Works (DPW) seeks graffiti artists and artist teams to design, create and install aerosol murals that inspire the various communities in which they will be placed. National Building Design Show
Deadline: May 15, 2013. The National Building Museum Home and Design Show first juried competition is now accepting online applications from artists, galleries and manufacturers of unique, innovative, trend setting art objects for residential, commercial and public spaces. Accepted categories: basketry, ceramics, decorative fibers, fine art, furniture, glass, metal, mixed media, paper, photography, stone, wood and other media appropriate for the above mentioned. Old Town Arts & Crafts Fair
Deadline: May 17, 2013. The 19th annual Old Town Arts & Crafts Fair hosted by Volunteer Alexandria will be Sunday, June 16 (Father’s Day) from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. The fair is held rain or shine at Market Square (in front of City Hall at 301 King Street). For details and to apply, click here (PDF download).

(e)merge art fair
Deadline: May 18, 2013. The (e)merge art fair connects emerging-art professionals from around the globe with collectors, curators and cultural decision makers in Washington, DC. Applications are now open. For more information, click here.
