Next week at The Art League: registration starts for the Portrait & Figure festival, and continues for summer art camps and classes!
Our first ever Portrait & Figure Festival will be October 23–25, and registration begins on Monday, July 28! Links and information will be posted here.
You’ll want to sign up early to get a spot with instructors including Danni Dawson, Michael Grimaldi, Rob Liberace, Paul Lucchesi, Ted Reed, Ephraim Rubenstein, Jackie Saunders, Kurt Schwarz, Lisa Semerad, Sharon Sprung, Dan Thompson, Coasta Vavgiakis, and Rick Weaver. Tuition is $335, and the weekend includes demos, lectures, critiques, and more.
Teens ages 14 and up who want to develop their artistic skills can take Painting and Drawing for Teens next week, Monday to Friday. This is a workshop for students who want to start developing a portfolio, or those who just want to study design, composition, and traditional and abstract painting.
Just a few weeks left for Art Camp! This is one of the weeks kids 12 and up can take Basic Art Camp. (As always, so can 5–7 and 8–11 year olds.) Kids can also get their hands dirty with clay in Ceramics Camp (ages 10–13) and Sculpture Camp (ages 8–11), which delves into other media as well.
