What is your strongest memory of being taught? How has systemic inequality affected education in communities? How have communities fought against education inequalities? How can the arts affect the transfer of knowledge? Need more information, visit the VAE website.

One Shot: Calling for Works Made in One Sitting (OH)

Deadline: January 8. The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, presents an open call for artwork exploring the theme of works made in one sitting. With this in mind, we are eager to see what this truth looks like, and how it may vary from artist to artist, work to work. All types of work are welcome, including traditional and non-traditional approaches in any media, and any subject, non-objective, abstract, conceptual, etc. For more information visit the Manifest Gallery website.

The exhibition invites all investigative points of view in all media; 2-D, 3-D, audio, and video. A full spectrum of interpretation is invited — whether personal, emotional, general, realistic or imagined, communal, or individual — addressing Freedom in all its manifestations through art.
