Join this engaging two-day workshop to explore intaglio printmaking using everyday recycled
materials—compact discs (CDs/DVDs) and Tetra Pak cartons. Transform waste into beautiful,
expressive printing plates through drypoint techniques, then ink and print your own editions.
This sustainable approach makes professional-quality intaglio accessible without traditional
metal plates, toxic chemicals, or expensive equipment.
Participants will learn the full process: designing and incising plates, inking, wiping, and pulling
prints (using the studio’s etching press). The circular format of CDs and the textured, layered
qualities of Tetra Pak encourage creative experimentation with line, texture, and tone. Perfect
for artists interested in printmaking, sustainability, or mixed-media techniques.
The $50 fee paid to the instructor covers all supplies
