This class is designed for experienced hand-builders who want to create whimsical ceramic figures or projects of their own. Participants’ imaginations are sparked with a variety of techniques. Specially tailored demonstrations and weekly feedback expands the creative possibilities. Tuition includes clay, glazes, and firing in an electric kiln.
The Art League Ceramics program boasts large, bright and well equipped studios. We provide open studio time for students to practice and expand their skillset outside of class.
The Ceramics program glaze fires at cone six, both electric oxidation as well as gas reduction. Specialty firings such as Raku are offered in weekend workshop form as well as occasional technique focused classes.
