EXPRESSIVE WATERCOLOR: The Art of en Plein Air for Travel (Online)

Registration for Spring 2026 classes opens at 10:00 am on Monday, February 9th. Online registration only, no in-person registrations will be accepted on February 9th.

Any registrations received before 10:00 am the day of registration are considered “early” and, consequently, are reviewed for enrollment availability at a later time.

Enjoy an exhilarating immersion into the color and rhythms of Plein Air painting. This class will provide step-by-step instructions to capture your inspirations with watercolor. Be captivated by the landscape, architectural elements, townscapes, figures in landscape, and more. Gain confidence in working with watercolor through understanding brush and paint control to create luminous mixes and subtle nuances. Capture your interests in loose, vibrant, and expressive way while gaining a clear understanding of what makes watercolor unique. Observe and interpret the dynamic relationships within the pictorial space and the importance of values, complementary color, and temperature in ways that will immediately improve your work. All levels of painters will benefit from this class, from fearless beginners to professional artists.
