Complex organisms are built up of individual cells and those cells all have the same needs to receive air, nutrients, and stimulants no matter where they are situated in the body. Complex organs, that are fractal in nature have evolved to service these cells. In mathematics, a system is fractal if, when you zoom in, it looks similar to its unzoomed view. This artwork shows the nervous system, the veins in a leaf, the circulatory system, and the lungs, all of which have this fractal quality.
