The Art League School in Old Town Alexandria, VA offers a wide variety of classes and workshops in the fiber arts, including courses in weaving, spinning, knitting, tapestry, dyeing, felting, surface design, silk painting, shibori, fiber sculpture, rug hooking and hat-making. Specialty classes focus on specific techniques. Workshops and beginning “jumpstarts” are also offered. Courses are offered year-round, during the week, weekend, day and evening, and are available for beginners as well as experienced artists!

Our fiber studio boasts a large workspace with an assortment of floor looms, table looms, spinning wheels, dyeing facilities, a silk steamer, and an extensive fiber library.
